Aura Found Privacy Policy

**Effective date: August 11, 2026**

The Aura Found mobile application (the “App”) is operated by a California sole proprietor doing business as Fluff N’ Flash, based in Riverside County, California.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when it may be shared, and the choices available to users.

 1. Age Requirement

The App is intended only for individuals who are 18 years of age or older. You must be at least 18 to create or maintain an account.

We do not knowingly permit individuals under 18 to create accounts or provide personal information through the App. If we learn that an account belongs to a person under 18, we may suspend or delete the account and take reasonable steps to remove associated personal information. If you believe a person under 18 has created an account, please contact us.

 2. Account Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on which features you use. When you create or maintain a personal account, we may collect:

- First name

- Last name

- Email address

- Phone number

- ZIP code

- City and state derived from or associated with your ZIP code

- Account authentication information

3. Profile Photos

We do not currently require users to provide a personal profile photograph. Photos may still be submitted through animal profiles, lost or found reports, wildlife reports, adoption or foster listings, events, or other community features.

4. Animal and Pet Information

Depending on the feature being used, users or Partner organizations may provide:

- Animal name

- Species

- Breed

- Age or date of birth

- Sex

- Color and physical description

- Veterinarian information

- Behavior or temperament information

- Adoption or foster status

- Other information relevant to identifying, caring for, locating, fostering, or adopting an animal

5. Location Information

The App uses location information to provide local and distance-based features. Location information may be used to show nearby resources, parks, events, wildlife information, lost-and-found activity, and other locally relevant content. Location may also be used to calculate distances or geographic matches for adoption or foster opportunities.

The App does not continuously track your location in the background simply because you have an account. Device location may be used when you choose a location-based feature, such as Use My Location, and grant permission.

When a report requires a more specific location, we may store that information while displaying only a broader or generalized location publicly when appropriate for privacy or safety. For Partner organizations, private geographic information such as ZIP code or service area may be used for matching or distance calculations while broader information such as city or county may appear publicly.

Location information may include:

- ZIP code

- City and state

- General geographic area

- Device location when permission is granted

- Locations associated with lost or found reports

- Wildlife sighting locations

- Park and event locations

- Other locations submitted through community features

6. Community and Public Submissions

Users may voluntarily submit information that is intended to be visible to other users. Public content may include an appropriate general location, date, time, photographs, and information the user chooses to provide.

Private account information, private contact information, and precise private locations are not automatically made public simply because they are stored by the App.

Public submissions may include:

- Lost and found animal reports

- Animal photographs and descriptions

- Wildlife sightings

- Park reviews

- Park or community alerts

- Events

- Other community submissions

7. Adoption and Foster Information

When you express interest in, apply to adopt, or apply to foster an animal, we may collect information relevant to evaluating the application or potential match. This information is not intended for public display. It may be provided to the Partner organization involved in the application or placement process.

This information may include:

- Household information

- Housing situation

- Current pets

- Veterinarian information

- Transportation availability

- Adoption or foster availability

- Answers requested by the applicable Partner organization

- Other information relevant to evaluating an adoption or foster request

8. Partner Organization Information

Partner organizations may provide information necessary for verification, organization profiles, listings, and participation in Partner features. Public organization profiles may display appropriate public-facing information.

EINs, verification documents, private representative information, private matching data, and internal review information are not intended for public display.

9. Contact Information Shared With Other Users

Certain App features may allow you to voluntarily share contact information with another user. Your private contact information is not publicly displayed by default. Information is shared with another user only when you choose to make it available through an applicable feature.

10. Technical and Operational Information

Our systems and service providers may receive basic technical information needed to operate, secure, authenticate, maintain, or troubleshoot the App, including:

- IP address

- Device or operating-system information

- App version

- Date and time of activity

11. Payment Information

The App does not currently collect or process payment-card information or in-app payments. If payments, subscriptions, donations, adoption fees, or other financial transactions are added in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated as appropriate before those practices are introduced.

18. Business Transfers

If the App or the business operating it is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale, or transfer, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

19. Third-Party Services and Integrations

The App relies on third-party technology and services to provide certain functionality. We currently use Supabase for backend services that may include authentication, database storage, and related infrastructure.

The App may also use mapping, location, email-delivery, hosting, or similar providers. Where applicable, the App may retrieve publicly available Partner-organization and adoptable-animal information through services such as the RescueGroups.org API.

Third-party websites, services, and integrations have their own privacy practices. We do not control their independent privacy policies.

20. Advertising and Online Tracking

The App does not currently display third-party advertising or use advertising networks. We do not currently use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We are not currently aware of third parties using the App to collect personally identifiable information about users’ activities over time across unrelated websites or online services for behavioral advertising purposes. The App does not currently maintain a separate mechanism for responding to browser Do Not Track signals.

If our analytics, advertising, or tracking practices materially change, we will update this Privacy Policy as appropriate.

21. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide and protect the App, maintain appropriate records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

22. Account Deletion

Users may request or initiate deletion of their account through the account-deletion features provided by the App.

When an account is deleted, we will delete or de-identify personal information associated with the account, subject to limited information that may need to be retained for legitimate legal, security, fraud-prevention, safety, dispute-resolution, or similar purposes.

User-generated content associated with a deleted account will be handled in accordance with applicable law and platform requirements. We may retain aggregated or de-identified information that can no longer reasonably be linked to the deleted user.

23. Security

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, disclosure, or loss.

Access to non-public information is limited to individuals, Partner organizations, and service providers that reasonably need the information for legitimate purposes associated with operating the App. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and should use a strong, unique password.

If you believe your account has been accessed without authorization, please contact us. No system for electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security.

If we become aware of a security incident involving personal information, we will investigate and take appropriate steps, including legally required notifications when applicable.

24. Your Privacy Choices

You may contact us for assistance with personal information associated with your account. Where the App provides account-editing controls, you may correct certain information directly.

You may control device-location permission through your device settings. Disabling location permission may prevent certain nearby or location-based features from working properly.

California residents and users in other jurisdictions may have additional privacy rights under applicable law. We will not discriminate against a user for exercising a privacy right provided by applicable law.

Depending on applicable law, you may:

- Request access to personal information associated with your account

- Request correction of inaccurate personal information

- Request deletion of your account and associated personal information

- Ask questions about how your information is handled

25. Children’s Information
